Backup Media

Backup Media is a fallback option for display screens that lose network connectivity. When a screen goes offline, you can load a USB drive with a pre-downloaded backup file that displays a minimal summary of the current workout without video content.

Note: Before using Backup Media, attempt to resolve connectivity issues first.

Steps to use Backup Media

  1. Prepare a USB flash drive — provide one USB drive for each screen that needs Backup Media. Performance Hub recommends 16GB SanDisk Cruzer Blade drives.
  2. Format the drive — insert the USB into your computer and format it using the FAT32 file system. Use the SD Format Tool, which is free for both Windows and Mac.
  3. Download and copy the file — click Download Backup Media in Performance Hub to download the backup file. Unzip it, then copy one file (for the specific offline device) to the root folder of the USB drive.
  4. Plug in the USB drive — insert the USB directly into the spare USB port on the Compute Stick or NUC (the computer connected to the TV). If the computer is offline, you may also be able to plug the USB directly into the TV if it has a USB port.

Download Backup Media

Click Download Backup Media to download the current workout content as an offline package. The downloaded file is specific to the current facility and date.
