Holiday Management

"Public holidays are added to your facilities' holiday hours automatically, based on each facility's country and region." Holiday Management is where you choose which public holidays are added, for every facility in your organisation, from offices and stores to clinics, venues and gyms.

Quick reference

Where to find it: Settings (cog icon) → Organisation Settings → Organisation → Holiday Management

Who can access: Anyone whose role gives them Holiday Management at the selected facility. The facility must allow the module too.

Purpose: Choose which public holidays are added to your facilities' holiday hours

How public holidays are added

  • National holidays are added to every facility in the country.
  • Regional holidays are added only to facilities in that region. "Facilities without a region only get national holidays."
  • "Holidays are refreshed nightly": "National and regional public holidays for this year and next are updated every night. Organisation admins are emailed when new ones appear."
  • "Each holiday is added to the facility's holiday hours two months before the date, using its Default Holiday Hours." Each facility sets its Default Holiday Hours in Holiday hours.

Choose which holidays are added

"Auto-add is on for every holiday until you switch it off here." Switch a holiday off if your facilities keep their normal hours that day, for example a regional show day that your stores and offices don't close for.

Each holiday shows its status: In holiday hours, or "Won't be added to holiday hours".

  • "Switching a holiday off doesn't remove hours already added." To change a holiday that's already in a facility's holiday hours, edit it in that facility's Holiday hours.
  • You can rename a holiday. "Renaming only affects holidays not yet added."

What holiday hours affect

Holiday hours replace a facility's staffed hours on the day. Holiday hours are also used by door and gate auto-unlock, booking availability and workflow automations. See How hours are used.

No holidays to manage

If you see "None of your facilities have a country set, so there are no public holidays to manage yet.", set the address of each facility in Facility location. Public holidays follow each facility's country and region.
