External Integrations
On this page
External Integrations connects the Performance Hub to other systems your organisation uses, so information can flow between them without double entry. Integrations available vary by organisation and change over time.
Quick reference
Where to find it: Settings (cog icon) → Partner/External Integrations
Who can access: People with External Integrations access at the facility
Purpose: Turn integrations on or off for a facility, set them up, and connect the facility to a monitoring centre
Find an integration
Integrations are grouped by category. Browse a category, or search for the integration you need, then open it to see its details:
| Area | What it shows |
|---|---|
| About | What the integration does |
| Settings | Whether it's Enabled or Disabled at this facility |
| Configuration Fields | The details the integration needs to connect to the other system |
Some integrations are on by default for every facility.
Turn an integration on or off
- Open the integration.
- Under Settings, set it to Enabled or Disabled.
- Fill in its Configuration Fields, if it has any.
Check the other system afterwards to confirm that information arrives as you expect.
Monitoring centre connections
A monitoring centre receives your facility's alarms, such as duress alarms, and responds to them. You set up the connection in three steps:
- Monitoring service: the service that monitors your alarms.
- Organisation: your organisation's details with that service.
- This facility: the details for the facility you're connecting.
"A facility goes live once a test signal reaches the monitoring centre."
"Only an organisation admin with External Integrations can enter organisation details or apply this service to other facilities."
Connection status
A facility's connection is shown as Not connected, Pending, Active, Failing or Suspended, on the integration's card, in the list of enabled integrations and on the This facility step.
The Alarm destinations card in Duress uses its own labels: Not live yet (pending), Live (active), Failing and Suspended. A connection only appears there once the facility is connected. See Monitoring centre.
If a connection shows Failing or Suspended, check its details and contact Support (Settings → Raise Support Request) if it doesn't recover.
More than one facility
An organisation admin with External Integrations can apply the same service to other facilities in the organisation, and can choose to have it applied to new facilities automatically. Each facility still goes live only once its own test signal reaches the monitoring centre.
Changing a connection
When you change a connection, you can apply the change straight away, or stage it. A staged change waits to be tested and activated: until then, alarms keep using the current settings. Duress shows a staged change on its Alarm destinations card. See Staged monitoring change.
